Statistics

Kidsandcars.org states there are an average of 38 children that die each year from being left in a hot car. That is one child every nine days. In 2012, there were 32 children who died from hyperthermia from being left in a car. It is important to know that a car will heat up about 19 degrees every 10 minutes. For instance, if it is 90 degrees outside, in 10 minutes your car will read 109 degrees inside. Also, a baby’s body temperature rises 3 to 5 times faster than adults.
